TECNO Leverages AFCON 2025 Beyond Football

TECNO is widening its AFCON sponsorship into a larger cultural play. The brand has launched “Power Your Moment,” a Pan-African campaign that treats AFCON as more than a tournament. It positions the event as Africa’s emotional World Cup a moment when identity, rivalry, and joy peak across the continent.

Kenya will not be on the pitch in 2025, but AFCON still draws massive local interest. TECNO is tapping into that energy. The campaign targets fans who celebrate from home, in pubs, and in community spaces. It recognises that most of the excitement now lives online, in user-generated content and fan storytelling.

Power Your Moment AFCON TECNO

The centre of the campaign is a nationwide contest. Kenyans can post short videos or photos that show a “Moment of Joy,” “Moment of Glory,” “Moment of Rising,” or “Moment of Creativity.” Entries must use #PowerYourMoment and #PowerKenya. Winners will earn a fully sponsored trip to watch AFCON 2025 live in Morocco. Submissions run from 28th November to 8th December, 2025. Across Africa, 65 creators will help drive participation. Ten winners will eventually travel, but TECNO gains something bigger attention, relevance, and community engagement.

The campaign also introduces the TECNO SPARK Slim, the official phone for AFCON 2025 and 2027. The device is positioned as a simple but powerful storytelling tool. It has AI features that decode match action, compile daily highlights, and deliver crisp portraits and video even in tough lighting. It also offers AFCON-themed visuals and an AI “virtual coach” that gives stats and match insights.

For industry observers, the strategy is clear. TECNO is using a major sports partnership to connect AI, content creation, and youth culture. The brand wants to be part of how Africans capture and share their AFCON memories. It is not only sponsoring the tournament. It is shaping how fans tell the story.
