Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 to Transform Digital Learning in Kenya

Kenya’s education sector is entering a decisive phase as the Samsung Electronics moves to supply new classroom devices, launching Galaxy Tab A11 Series tablets aimed at supporting the country’s digital learning push.

Education in Kenya is undergoing one of its biggest reforms in decades. The Competency-Based Curriculum [CBC] is shifting learning away from memorization and toward skills, research and problem-solving. That change is increasing the need for affordable devices that can handle video lessons, simulations and online collaboration.

Against this backdrop, Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Tab A11 and Galaxy Tab A11+, positioning them as tools for both teachers and students.

Bigger Screens for Modern Classrooms

The larger Tab A11+ comes with an 11-inch display and a 90Hz refresh rate. This helps smooth out animations and video, which are now common in digital textbooks and virtual labs. The WUXGA resolution is designed to keep text and diagrams sharp, even in bright light conditions often found in Kenyan schools.

For younger learners or students who commute daily, the smaller 8.7-inch Tab A11 offers a lighter option. At 335 grams, it is built for portability while still supporting core learning apps.

Galaxy Tab A11 Series add software features aimed at independent study. Students can handwrite math problems directly in Samsung Notes and receive step-by-step solutions. An AI assistant can also be activated to help with research, translation or real-time queries using the device’s camera.

Another feature allows users to circle words or images on screen to quickly search for explanations, cutting down the need to switch between apps.

Durability and Access Remain Key

Battery life remains central in areas with limited power access. The Tab A11+ carries a 7,040mAh battery with fast charging, while the standard model has a 5,100mAh unit. Expandable storage of up to 2TB supports large volumes of notes, e-books and coursework.

With a 24-month warranty, the Galaxy Tab A11 Series target long-term use, from urban classrooms to rural study centers, as Kenya’s schools continue their digital shift.
