Airtel Money Increases Daily Transaction Limit to KES 500,000

Airtel Money Kenya Ltd received approval to raise daily transaction limit to KES 500,000 from KES 300,000. Anne Kinuthia-Otieno, Managing Director Airtel Money Kenya, expressed excitement, believing it empowers customers for larger, flexible transactions. The change benefits businesses, government, and the digital economy, fostering economic growth in Kenya.

Anne Kinuthia-Otieno deemed it economically beneficial, aiding businesses’ convenience and consumers’ access to services, driving growth and stability. Airtel Money aims for seamless digital transactions, tripling agents to 120,000 by 2023 end. The daily cap rises to KES 500,000, with KES 150,000 per transaction, amplifying financial possibilities.

 This strategic move aligns with Airtel Money’s commitment to enabling seamless and affordable digital transactions to all Kenyan citizens and businesses. The company recently announced that it has tripled its number of mobile money agents and targets to close at 120,000 agents by the end of 2023.
