Airtel Money Now Accepted at Moja Expressway

Airtel Money Kenya has partnered with Moja Expressway Company to simplify expressway toll payments. This collaboration introduces Airtel Money as a new, convenient payment option for motorists.

The partnership allows Airtel Money users to pay toll fees easily at expressway exits. This will offer a seamless and hassle-free payment experience. Airtel Money Managing Director, Anne Kinuthia-Otieno, highlighted the importance of such partnerships. She emphasized their commitment to providing secure and convenient payment solutions for customers.

“This decision was driven by a shared vision to cater to the needs of the expressway users. Airtel Money found synergy with Moja Expressway’s commitment to providing convenient transportation solutions. This partnership aims to benefit all stakeholders involved. Most importantly, provide customers with an additional secure and efficient payment choice,” Anne added.

Motorists can use Airtel Money to pay via Manual Toll Collection [MTC] at exit stations. They can share their Airtel-registered number and approving payments with their PIN. For those using Electronic Toll Collection [ETC], users can top up their accounts via Airtel Money by dialing *819# or visiting the Moja website. Additionally, payments made through Airtel Money at the expressway will incur no transaction charges [excluding partner fees] until January 2025.

Moja Expressway CEO Steve Zhao stated that the partnership aligns with their mission to offer diverse, innovative payment solutions, enhancing the user experience on the Nairobi Expressway.
