Airtel Kenya has launched a new Unlimited Home Broadband 5G Data Plans, providing customers with uninterrupted data and exceptional reliability on its 5G network. These plans cater to diverse consumer needs, promising a seamless digital experience. Airtel initially introduced its 5G network last year with 372 sites and has since expanded to over 690 sites, covering 39 counties.
For Ashish Malhotra, Managing Director of Airtel Kenya, the Unlimited Plans reflect the company’s commitment to providing unmatched connectivity and supporting digital inclusion. Airtel’s network currently covers 89% of the Kenyan population, with plans to reach 94% by the end of 2024.
The Unlimited Plans offer three tiers: 10 Mbps at KES 3,500, 20 Mbps at KES 5,000, and 30 Mbps at KES 6,500 per month, requiring an Airtel 5G router priced at KES 2,999. These plans include a power backup feature for uninterrupted connectivity during power outages.
Customers can purchase the 5G routers at Airtel shops or order online. Subscriptions and renewals are available via the MyAirtel App or by dialing *400#. Airtel aims to roll out approximately 1000 sites by year-end, focusing on improving indoor coverage and connecting rural areas, especially in northeastern Kenya.
