Ajua Appoints Claire as Chief Experience Officer

Ajua, Africa’s leading customer experience [CX] intelligence platform, has named Claire Munene as its new Chief Experience Officer [CXO]. Claire returns to Ajua after serving as Director of Customer Experience at Telkom Kenya. She brings over 18 years of experience in transforming customer experience and telecoms across Africa.

Claire Munene previously held key roles at Ajua between 2015 and 2020, including VP of Partnerships and COO. During that time, she helped grow the company’s revenue by 400% across East and West Africa and the Caribbean. She led major partnerships, including one with Safaricom’s SPARK Venture Fund.

At Telkom Kenya, Claire improved customer service by cutting resolution times by 40%, increasing satisfaction through automation. This contributed to 30% of the company’s revenue through internal innovation. Earlier, at Safaricom, she helped launch successful products like Okoa Jahazi and the Consumer Wallet, and founded the Safaricom Academy to support tech talent.

Claire has also worked with global and regional companies like McKinsey, Harvard, Kenya Airways, Airtel, MTN, and Digicel.

Ajua CEO Nyasha Mutsekwa called Claire’s return a “defining moment” for Ajua and African businesses, praising her ability to turn customer insights into impactful strategies.
