Safaricom unveiled a special 4GB YouTube bundle for just KES 4. With this, Kenyans will watch and support athletics legend and Safaricom brand ambassador, Faith Kipyegon. She will attempt to become the first woman in history to run a mile in under four minutes.
The race will take place on Thursday, 26th June at 8:00 PM [EAT] at Stade Charléty in Paris. It will be available for live streaming via YouTube. The affordable bundle is accessible by dialling *544# and is compatible with smartphones, tablets, and smart TVs.

This initiative is part of Safaricom’s ongoing support for Faith Kipyegon. Her inspiring journey continues to unite Kenyans and showcase the country’s global athletic prowess. Since 2023, Safaricom has backed Faith through various recognitions. They awarded her with KES 2 million for her double world record triumph. They also and displayed her image on Nairobi’s iconic KICC tower.
In 2024, Faith was named the face of Safaricom’s “Sisi Wote Ni Mabingwa” campaign, a nationwide call to celebrate Kenyan champions in all walks of life.
Currently the world record holder in both the 1500m and 5000m categories following her landmark victories at the Florence and Paris Diamond League events Faith now seeks to add yet another historic milestone to her career.

In addition to the YouTube bundle, Safaricom will also host a live public screening at Baniyas Square in Eldoret City, allowing fans in the country’s athletics heartland to watch and cheer as Faith takes on the mile.
