Samsung Electronics East Africa has unveiled the Galaxy A17 smartphone and Galaxy Buds Core earphones for Kenyan consumers. The Buds Core are available now, while the Galaxy A17 hits shelves on 22nd September 2025.
“Our goal is to give Kenyans simple, useful tech,” said Eveline Munene, Head of Product and Marketing, Samsung Electronics East Africa. “The device brings Gemini AI to more people, while Buds Core offer everyday audio that just works.”

The device comes with a dedicated button for Gemini, Samsung’s AI assistant, for quick help with writing, search, and translation. It promises all-day battery life, a clean design, and up to six years of software and security updates.
The Galaxy Buds Core deliver balanced sound with active noise cancellation, multiple microphones for clearer calls, and a comfortable fit. They carry IP54 dust and splash resistance and link seamlessly with Galaxy devices.
