Hayo Secures Key Digital Service Licenses in Kenya

Hayo, a global leader in digital solutions, has been awarded the Content Service Provider [CSP] and Applications Service Provider [ASP] licences by the Communications Authority of Kenya [CA]. These CSP & ASP licences empower Hayo to offer a full suite of digital and communications services across Kenya. This will support local businesses and government agencies with cutting-edge technology and localised support.

Often referred to as “The Silicon Savannah,” Kenya is a fast-emerging hub of technology and innovation. The CSP & ASP licence enables Hayo to develop, distribute, and manage digital content that enhances user experiences nationwide. The ASP licence allows the company to deliver advanced software-driven services that foster innovation and support the country’s digital growth. According to the GSMA, Kenya’s digital economy will contribute $5.11 billion to GDP by 2028. It will create 300,000 new jobs, and generate an additional $1.16 billion in tax revenues.

Kenya Key to Hayo’s Africa Growth Strategy

“Kenya’s digital economy is booming, with significant investments from global tech giants like Microsoft and Google.” Said Feraz Ahmed, CEO of Hayo. “This is a market full of potential, and we’re excited to be deepening our presence here. Securing these licences is a major milestone. It enables us to deliver a broader range of services that will fuel local innovation and economic growth.”

ICT is central to Kenya’s Vision 2030. This vision is the government’s strategic blueprint to transform the country into a middle-income economy. Research from Public First suggests that every $1 invested in digital technology in Kenya could generate more than $5 in broader economic value by 2030. Hayo’s licensing underlines its commitment to regulatory compliance, innovation, data privacy, and customer-focused service delivery.

“We look forward to partnering with local businesses and communities to unlock the full potential of Kenya’s digital economy.” Ahmed added. “Hayo has expanded significantly over the past year. It has offices now in Kenya, South Africa, Niger, Cameroon, Sri Lanka, and the U.S. Our commitment to Kenya is long-term, and we’re ready to scale our support for local growth through smart, impactful solutions.”

This announcement follows Hayo’s recent exclusive partnership with Talk360, aimed at delivering high-quality international calling to millions across the African diaspora. With over 30 years of experience operating in Africa, Hayo is well-positioned to drive connectivity, innovation, and economic empowerment across Kenya.
