Tech innovator Human Mobile Devices [HMD] has unveiled its debut series of smartphones: HMD Pulse Pro, HMD Pulse+, and HMD Pulse. These devices epitomize HMD’s vision of combining sleek design with practical innovation, targeting affordability and elegant repairability. The launch event in Kenya was a significant step, emphasizing the company’s dedication to understanding and leading market trends through products designed with integrity and innovation.

Sanmeet Singh Kocchar, Vice President for Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, expressed that the launch marks a new era in smartphone sophistication, aimed at catering to the evolving needs of diverse markets. Joseph Umunakwe, General Manager for regions in Africa, highlighted the aim to foster user creativity with adaptable technology.

HMD also taps into the growing DIY repair trend, especially among Gen Z, with research showing a strong preference for repairable devices. The company anticipates a notable increase in the sale of repairable devices in Europe by 2024.

The HMD Pulse Pro stands out with a 50MP Selfie Camera and innovative Selfie Gesture Navigation, promising enhanced user interaction and high-quality photography, even in low light. It’s available in three colors, including a unique Glacier Green with a matching color charger sold separately.

The HMD Pulse+ and HMD Pulse round out the trio, offering substantial battery life and impressive camera features at a competitive price, underscoring HMD’s commitment to accessibility and performance in the smartphone market.
