Huawei recently hosted the 2024 Huawei IP & OptiX Club in Kenya, themed “F5G Advanced, the Foundation for Industry Intelligence.” The event showcased new products and solutions for various sectors including Wi-Fi 7 for campuses, power and transportation networks, and smart home connectivity. This initiative underscores Huawei’s commitment to driving digital transformation in Kenya.
The Huawei IP & OptiX Club serves as a forum for exchanging ideas on IP and optical technologies across various industries, highlighting Huawei’s global best practices and discussing future trends. The event attracted stakeholders from government, transportation, ISP, finance, energy, and commercial sectors, exploring innovative applications of IP communication, optical fiber communication, and sensing.
At the summit, Huawei experts outlined the future of network and transmission technologies, emphasizing the role of AI in enhancing network intelligence and the impact of digital maps on operational efficiency. New technologies like F5G, fgOTN, and 50G PON are set to expand fiber connectivity extensively, enabling precise, ultra-broadband, and deterministic networks essential for industrial applications.
