IXAfrica and Tilisi to Establish Second Data Center Campus in Nairobi

IXAfrica Data Centre Limited [IXAfrica], a leader in East African hyper-scale data centers, and Tilisi Developments plc [Tilisi], a premier real estate developer, have announced a groundbreaking deal. IXAfrica is set to acquire 11 acres of prime land in Nairobi, Kenya, for its second data center campus.

This partnership marks a milestone in advancing East Africa’s data center infrastructure, with a potential 30MW+ facility being considered.

Guy Willner, Chairman of IXAfrica, is confident in the region’s growth potential, stating that the new campus will provide an ideal setting for data center operations. Graeme Reid, Tilisi CEO, highlights the partnership’s significance in enhancing Tilisi’s position as an investment hub. Richard Hechle, MD of Dimension Data East & West Africa, sees this expansion as a gateway to enhanced connectivity options.
