Jabra & Mart Networks Boost Kenya’s Remote Workforce

Jabra, a Danish brand specializing in audio equipment, and more recently videoconference systems has partnered with Mart Networks. Mart Networks is a value added technology distributor. Together, they intend to revolutionise the remote work environment in Kenya through Jabra’s new video and headset devices.

Nicolas Bliaux, Jabra’s Managing Director for Eastern Europe, Russia & CIS, the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa, stated that the COVID-19 pandemic has led to a 500% rise in remote work. He highlighted that since 2020, there’s been a major shift towards hybrid work, with professionals now splitting their time across various locations, whether in the office, at home, or elsewhere, allowing them the flexibility to work in ways that best suit them.

To maximize the benefits of hybrid work, the right tools are essential. A Jabra study found that 85% of knowledge workers view technology as vital for effective remote work. “As 85% of businesses aim to enhance collaboration through better technology, we’ve been leading that charge.” Said Rodney Wearing, Jabra’s Territory Sales Manager for Southern, Eastern, and Central Africa.

Many employees are choosing to work from home part-time. Yet 42% lack the necessary equipment, and 52% worry that remote work communication issues might harm their career growth.

With the right tools, hybrid work can reduce commute times, enhance work-life balance, and offer flexibility without communication drawbacks. “Ninety percent of Jabra’s products serve the enterprise market, while 10% are for consumers. We are proud to bring world-class remote work and intelligent video solutions to Kenya,” said Moiz Maloo, Managing Director of The Mart Networks Group.

As Kenya leads the way in regional contact centers, Jabra has introduced Engage AI, a sentiment analysis software powered by AI that helps agents improve customer experiences by analyzing voice tone in real time and providing live feedback to agents.

Jabra’s plans from Kenya include expansions into Tanzania and Nigeria.
