KCB Funds East Africa Golf Tour

KCB Bank Kenya has announced an investment of KES. 80 million to sponsor the third edition of the East Africa Golf Tour, which was officially launched today. The 30-leg series will span 16 counties in Kenya and four countries across the region—Rwanda, Tanzania, Burundi, and Uganda.

This initiative shows KCB Bank’s dedication to nurturing talent, fostering regional unity, and promoting golf as a catalyst for social and economic growth.

“The East Africa Golf Tour continues to grow as a platform for amateur development, inclusivity, and regional collaboration. Our aim is to expand the sport and provide budding golfers the opportunity to hone their skills in line with our brand purpose, For People. For Better.” Said Anthony Mulisa, KCB Group Treasurer

In Kenya, the tournament will visit counties including Mombasa, Nairobi, Trans Nzoia, Kiambu, Kakamega, Uasin Gishu, Nyeri, Kericho, Machakos, Kisumu, Kisii, Laikipia, and Nandi. The grand finale will be on December 5, 2025. The first leg tees off at Royal Nairobi Golf Club on February 1, 2025.

The year-long competition will feature amateur tournaments on Saturdays and junior golf clinics on Sundays, alongside select caddie tournaments. The winning team will earn KES. 1 million for a club sustainability project and gain entry to a prestigious golf event in Kenya.

Aligned with its sustainability agenda. KCB Bank will integrate environmental conservation activities during the tour, including tree planting and the promotion of eco-friendly LPG solutions.

Additionally, in partnership with Mastercard, KCB Bank unveiled the Multi-Currency Prepaid Card. They will offer customers a cost-effective solution for managing international transactions across multiple currencies.
