In a pioneering initiative aimed at boosting AI adoption across various economic sectors, Mitsumi Distribution has collaborated with Dell Technologies to organize innovative workshops. These workshops are particularly focused on the use of Artificial Intelligence in healthcare.
Mr. Arshad Farhad, Dell Technologies’ Chief Technology Officer for Healthcare & Lifesciences in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, spoke at the first workshop this week. He presented a suite of AI technologies, emphasizing Generative Artificial Intelligence, and discussed the crucial skills required, privacy issues, and the potential transformative effects on healthcare systems in Kenya and broader Africa. He stressed that the aim of AI is to augment the capabilities of healthcare professionals and improve clinical results.
Mr. Rajveer Shah, Director at Mitsumi Distribution, reiterated the company’s commitment to leveraging AI to transform sectors like healthcare, financial services, governance, and public services across Africa. Shah highlighted Mitsumi’s significant investments in hiring skilled data scientists and engineers globally, underscoring their dedication to building an AI-empowered society in Africa.
