NCBA announced today that they will eliminate monthly fees for their retail banking accounts starting 1st July, 2024. This change applies to existing and new accounts, including consumer types like Salary Account, Platinum Flexi, Platinum Pay as You Go, and others, as well as Commercial and SME accounts such as Business Current, Gold, and Platinum.
Mr. Tirus Mwithiga, Group Director of Retail Banking, stated that the decision aims to provide customers with more value, particularly in challenging economic times. He stated that by eliminating monthly maintenance fees for both local and foreign currency accounts, NCBA aims to support its customers financially.
Customers will still pay for specific services and transactions they use, as per the existing tariff guide. This initiative is part of NCBA’s strategy to grow its retail banking sector by increasing affordability and providing customer-focused financial solutions.
