Paymentology has named Jeff Parker as its new CEO, succeeding interim Co-CEOs Abe Smith and Angy Watson. With over 20 years of experience in the global fintech and financial services sector, Parker has a robust international background, having worked on four continents.
In his previous role as Senior Vice President and Managing Director International at Marqeta, Parker played a key role in expanding the company’s go-to-market and operational functions globally, enhancing service offerings in key markets across Europe and APAC. Prior to Marqeta, he served as CEO at World First, overseeing their international expansion and contributing significantly to the company’s successful acquisition by the Ant Group.
Parker’s extensive career also includes senior positions at Macquarie Bank, JP Morgan, Accenture, and OFX, where he served as Chief Enterprise Officer, leading the global B2B team.
Rowan Brewer, Chairman at Paymentology, expressed confidence in Parker’s appointment, highlighting his alignment with the company’s values and successful track record. Parker, in turn, expressed enthusiasm for his new role, emphasizing his focus on positioning Paymentology as the global neo-processor of choice for fintechs, telcos, corporates, and challenger banks. He aims to continue the company’s growth trajectory, providing next-generation payment solutions on a global scale.
Parker assumes the role of CEO with immediate effect, and both Paymentology and Parker are optimistic about their collaborative efforts contributing to the company’s ongoing success.
