Samsung 2025 QLEDs has received the new “Real Quantum Dot Display” certification from TÜV Rheinland, the independent quality-assurance organization based in Germany. The accreditation confirms that Samsung QLED models meet the International Electrotechnical Commission [IEC] 62595-1-6 standard, the benchmark that defines what constitutes a true quantum-dot [QD] television.
Why it Matters
Picture you can trust. TÜV engineers verified that Samsung’s QLED panels deliver a clean, fully separated red, green and blue light spectrum. They are widely considered the gold standard for color accuracy in home viewing.
Performance backed by science. Quantum dots, nano-sized materials, reproduce pure, bright colors. TÜV’s tests confirm that Samsung integrates these particles according to the IEC framework. Rather than relying on filters that can dilute colour fidelity.
Confidence for consumers. With an official stamp from one of the world’s leading test labs. Shoppers can easily identify Samsung QLED TVs as genuine QD displays.
Certified Models
The certification covers the flagship Neo QLED 8K series [QN990F, QN900F], Neo QLED 4K series [QN90F, QN85F, QN80F, QN70F] and QLED 4K series [Q8F, Q7F, Q6F], all available globally from this month.
“This certification objectively validates that Samsung QLED TVs deliver true quantum-dot performance built to international standards,” said Taeyong Son, Executive Vice President of Samsung’s Visual Display Business. “We will keep innovating to give viewers richer pictures while strengthening their trust in Samsung.”
