Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has announced the global expansion of its One UI 6.1.1 update. This brings the latest AI features to more Galaxy devices starting this September. The update will extend advanced AI capabilities found in the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 to previous models. These include the Galaxy S24 series, S23 series, S23 FE, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and Tab S9 series. This expansion aims to enhance user experiences across communication, productivity, and creativity.
Enhanced Communication with Galaxy AI
The update will make language barriers a thing of the past. Galaxy AI’s Interpreter feature, including Listening Mode and one-way translation, will now be available on more devices. Chat Assist allows users to draft emails and social media posts easily by inputting a few keywords, with the AI generating a complete message based on personal style and tone. Suggested replies, previously exclusive to the Galaxy Z Flip6, will now also be available on the Galaxy S24 series. This will enable quick responses directly from the wrist when paired with the Galaxy Watch7 or Watch Ultra.

Boosted Productivity Anywhere
Samsung’s One UI 6.1.1 update turns any Galaxy device into a productivity powerhouse. Note Assist offers time-saving tools such as meeting note summaries. Voice-to-text transcription, and PDF Overlay Translation for easy translation of text in documents and images. The Sketch to Image feature enhances photos by generating complementary image options based on simple sketches. With Circle to Search and the newly added Sound Search, users can now solve complex problems with step-by-step guidance and find results instantly.
Creativity at Your Fingertips
Galaxy AI empowers users to create professional-grade content effortlessly. Portrait Studio enables the creation of portraits in styles like 3D cartoon and watercolour, while Instant Slow-mo allows users to slow down videos smoothly and save them with ease. These features cater to both amateur photographers and aspiring content creators, making advanced creativity accessible to everyone.
Availability
The One UI 6.1.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will begin rolling out in Korea on September 5, followed by North America and Europe on September 9. Updates for additional devices and countries will follow in the coming week.
