Samsung TVs Reach New Picture Heights

Samsung Electronics has unveiled its 2024 lineup of Neo QLED and QLED TVs. They have set a new benchmark in home entertainment with industry-first certifications for picture quality excellence. Seven models have received the coveted True Cinema Black and HDR Brightness Accuracy certifications from Verband Deutscher Elektrotechniker [VDE]. This is Germany’s leading electrical engineering certification institute.

“Technology continues to advance, enabling us to deliver an unmatched cinematic experience right in our customers’ homes.” Said Yongjae Kim, Executive Vice President and Deputy Head of R&D Team, Visual Display Business. “We are committed to setting the highest standards for picture quality in both high-resolution and big-screen TVs. We are proud that our Neo QLED TVs have earned these industry-first certifications from VDE.”

Bringing Cinema to Life: HDR Brightness Accuracy Certification

Six Samsung Neo QLED models in 8K and 4K, along with one QLED 4K model, have achieved the industry’s first HDR Brightness Accuracy certification. This assures viewers that these TVs reproduce HDR content with precise brightness levels. This ensures true-to-life visuals that faithfully represent what the human eye perceives, enhancing the vibrancy and realism of on-screen content.

Samsung HDR technology boosts both bright and dark areas, bringing out intricate details and creating lifelike images. Whether you’re watching in a living room, bedroom, or office, Samsung’s Neo QLED and QLED TVs deliver an unparalleled cinematic experience. They transform any space into a personal theater.

Setting the Standard: True Cinema Black Certification

These seven models also make history as the first to receive the True Cinema Black certification. This celebrates the TVs’ superior local dimming performance. This certification ensures deep, immersive black levels that maintain the cinematic integrity of wide aspect ratio films. It eliminates unwanted light blooming for an experience that mirrors the director’s vision.

The True Cinema Black certification evaluates black levels in the Letterbox area of the screen. Using stringent guidelines from the Video Electronics Standards Association [VESA®] and footage from the American Society of Cinematographers [ASC]. The result is an uninterrupted viewing experience with rich, deep blacks that rival those of a traditional cinema.

Redefining Home Entertainment

With these groundbreaking certifications, Samsung 2024 Neo QLED and QLED TVs redefine home viewing by delivering world-class picture quality across any setting. These TVs are more than just screens—they’re a gateway to a cinematic experience, allowing users to see films as they were meant to be seen.
