Eliminating Cashier Assistance with Cashless Self-Checkout

Carrefour, operated exclusively by Majid Al Futtaim in Kenya, has introduced self-checkout technology at its Hub store, aiming to enhance shopping efficiency and customer experiences.

This service enables shoppers to manage their purchases independently, eliminating the need for cashier assistance and reducing queue times. Carrefour has previously implemented self-checkout systems at two other stores in Kenya, namely Westgate Shopping Mall and the Village Market.

The self-checkout lane accommodates various cashless payment methods such as Mpesa, debit/credit cards, and MyCLUB loyalty points, providing customers with flexibility and convenience throughout their shopping journey.
