Twiga Foods and Incentro Africa have recently revitalised their partnership, overcoming a historical dispute. In September 2023, Incentro Africa issued a statutory demand to Twiga Foods concerning payments for Google Cloud Services. Twiga Foods contested these charges and sought legal recourse to annul the demand. However, the impasse was broken thanks to negotiations led by Twiga’s newly appointed management team, following substantial investments by Creadev and Juven in December 2023.
Dennis de Weerd, CEO of Incentro, praised Twiga’s CFO, Zuber Momoniat, for his pivotal role in resolving the dispute and reinforcing the partnership. De Weerd expressed regret over the 2023 challenges but showed enthusiasm for the future collaboration, emphasizing the mutual resolution of the issues and the continued provision of innovative cloud services to Twiga Foods.
Zuber Momoniat, CFO of Twiga, highlighted the settlement between the two companies and the withdrawal of the statutory demand by Incentro Africa. He acknowledged the necessity to renegotiate the Google Cloud contract, considering the global economic context, emphasizing that this renegotiation is crucial for aligning with the current business landscape.
The resolution marks a new chapter for Twiga Foods and Incentro Africa. Both parties view this development not only as a resolution of past difficulties but also as a solid foundation for future growth and success. This renewed alliance promises a prosperous and collaborative future, built on mutual understanding and adapted to the evolving business environment.
