Watu Offers Full Rider Support at Kilifi Clinic

Watu, a Pan-African asset finance company, will issue uncollected logbooks and number plates to boda boda riders while also installing and repairing GPS trackers on motorcycles. Additionally, they will refurbish and repair mobile phones during a three-day customer clinic in Kilifi County.

The clinic, set for 26th to 28th February at Car & General, Tana Building on Lamu Road, targets customers who have fully repaid their loans but have not yet collected their logbooks. This is part of Watu’s nationwide effort to distribute over 70,000 unclaimed logbooks.

Beyond document collection, Watu will also service and replace GPS trackers on financed motorcycles, repair mobile phones for Watu Simu customers, and address any customer concerns.

Watu Kenya Country Manager, Erick Masswe, emphasized the company’s commitment to long-term customer support. “The Malindi clinic ensures riders receive their logbooks, maintain functional GPS trackers, and repair their mobile phones. This enhances business continuity and strengthens our partnership with them,” he stated.

Watu’s support extends beyond financing. Initiatives such as Watu Shule, a riding school for road safety, and equipping boda boda offices with essential supplies further empower riders.

The boda boda sector plays a vital role in Kenya, providing employment to over 1.2 million people and facilitating transportation and essential services.
