Airtel Kenya has inaugurated a new franchise shop in Nairobi’s Central Business District on Gaborone Road, next to Nairobi Textiles. This outlet increases Airtel’s presence to over 2,600 shops nationwide. It will serve as a crucial hub for Airtel Money agents in downtown Nairobi, enabling them to buy and balance float conveniently. The shop will also provide services such as wholesale airtime, 4G & 5G broadband devices, Pocket MiFi devices, SIM cards, SIM swaps, and registration for Airtel Money, Paybill, and till numbers, along with cash deposit and withdrawal services.
During the launch, Chief Commercial Officer Aashish Dutt emphasized the shop’s role in improving the accessibility and efficiency of Airtel Money services. He noted that the new outlet, Airtel’s 69th, will empower agents to better serve customers and provide a seamless experience. Dutt also highlighted that the shop will help customers resolve their queries in person, eliminating the need to navigate busy streets.
Airtel Kenya continues to expand its network to meet the growing demand for its services. With over 5,000 Airtel Money agents in the Nairobi Metropolitan area, Airtel aims to enhance its mobile money offerings for both businesses and individuals in the CBD. The company remains dedicated to bridging the financial and digital inclusion gap across Kenya.
