Reno12 5G Performance Overview
As we gear up for the Reno13 Series launch, here’s a look at how the Reno12 5G performed.
For a smooth experience, fast charging, long battery life, and strong connectivity, the Reno12 5G packs the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy chipset. This efficient processor supports LPDDR4x and LPDDR5 memory, boosting data speeds up to 6400Mbps for better responsiveness and multitasking.
Gamers will appreciate Variable Rate Shading [VRS], which enhances graphics while saving battery. We tested Mortal Kombat, and the phone handled it well at 58 FPS with no major issues. While high FPS gaming won’t harm the device, it can drain the battery faster. We’ll update on long-term performance soon
Most modern phones, including the Reno12 5G, slow down if they overheat to prevent damage. If gaming performance drops, it’s likely the phone’s safety system kicking in.
Photographers and videographers will benefit from Multi-Frame Noise Reduction [MFNR], hardware face detection, and video HDR processing, ensuring clearer, more vibrant shots.
For everyday tasks, the Reno12 5G handles multitasking well, though long-term performance remains to be seen. My old Reno10 sometimes lagged under heavy use, so I’ll keep testing and share more insights soon.
