Under the hood, the Reno11 F 5G is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7050 processor, crafted on a 6nm process. Featuring two potent cores and six efficient cores, it delivers seamless performance for gaming or video streaming. Its robust power management system further enhances user experience. Paired with up to 8GB of RAM and ColorOS 14’s Trinity Engine, users can expect exceptional multitasking capabilities, even under heavy workloads.

To bridge the hardware prowess with user interaction, OPPO’s ColorOS 14 has undergone continuous refinement over the years. Notably, users can effortlessly drag items onto the floating File Deck, enabling seamless integration across various applications.

Under this latest operating system, the Smart Touch feature on the Reno11F 5G has significantly enhanced user interactivity. It facilitates a range of functionalities, including launching apps, navigating menus, and managing device security with locking and unlocking capabilities. A notable improvement is the ability to interact with previously unselectable content. Users can capture such content using a three-finger swipe to take a screenshot, followed by selecting ‘extract content.’ This allows for the extraction and easy storage of images and text, including text embedded within images, by dragging them to the File Dock for later access.

Additionally, the Reno11F 5G offers personalized communication options, such as converting images into stickers directly in WhatsApp, enriching the messaging experience with creative and expressive touches.

OPPO
Camera Quality

Ideal for Direct Uploads on Social Media

The main camera of the Reno11F 5G is equipped with a 64MP high-resolution image sensor, ensuring superior photo quality in various lighting conditions. This mid-range device is capable of clicking decent, crisp and vivid images both day and night.

The phone also features a 32MP front camera, providing high clarity for selfies. This high-resolution camera captures intricate details, offering sharp lines and vibrant colors in photographs. It’s akin to utilizing a magnifying glass that enhances the quality of your images, making them exceptionally clear.

Both cameras support 4K video recording, which means they capture footage with a resolution approximately four times higher than standard HD. This higher pixel count results in clearer, more lifelike images. When you zoom into these videos, the clarity is maintained, making it ideal for capturing detailed landscapes, close-ups, or fast-moving scenes.

Performance

Smooth Operator

OPPO continues to prioritize aesthetics and camera functionality over top-tier performance. This model retains the Dimensity 7050 processor, a 6 nm chipset also used in its predecessor, the Reno10. While this may not set new benchmarks for speed, it delivers a satisfactory experience for everyday users.

The Reno11 5G handles basic applications and light gaming efficiently. Its combination of a capable processor and a 120Hz display ensures buttery smooth transitions and responsiveness. During my testing, multitasking across emails, games, and social media was seamless, with no noticeable lag.

For users whose primary activities include social media, messaging, YouTube viewing, and web browsing, this device offers more than adequate performance. It isn’t tailored for intense gaming or heavy-duty tasks but manages daily operations without trouble.

Verdict

Although the Reno11 5G might not represent a significant leap from the OPPO Reno10 in terms of performance, it shines in its design and camera capabilities. For those who value aesthetics and sufficient functionality for routine tasks, this model is an appealing choice. Its distinctive polarising design is sure to capture attention in the Kenyan market where users increasingly focus on visual appeal.
