NCBA Bank has concluded a high-impact, week-long regional engagement in Eldoret. It was aimed at deepening support for SME and commercial clients in Kenya’s North Rift region. The initiative brought together over 150 entrepreneurs, county government officials, and NCBA leadership. This was through a series of direct customer visits, market activations, and a major business forum.
As part of its mission to become the go-to financial partner for businesses across Kenya. NCBA showcased a portfolio of digital platforms designed to address specific needs of landlords, schools, and small businesses:
- Connect Plus: A robust digital banking platform for SMEs and corporates, enabling efficient cash management, payments, and business monitoring.
- Nyumba Zetu: A rent collection and reconciliation solution for landlords, streamlining property cashflows and tenant tracking.
- Soma Plus: A holistic school payments and administration platform that manages fee collection, payroll, supplier payments, and school operations.
- NCBA Till: A simplified payment tool for small businesses, ideal for everyday transactions in retail and informal trade.

Listening to Customers, Delivering Tailored Solutions
Speaking during the forum, NCBA Kenya Managing Director, James Gachui said:
“We’re here to listen. Our goal is to design financial solutions that meet the real needs of our customers. From asset finance to school payment systems, our innovations are built with input from the people who use them.”
Fueling Business Growth Across Uasin Gishu and Beyond
Uasin Gishu is a critical economic hub, contributing over KES 1.21 trillion to Kenya’s GDP through key sectors like agriculture, construction, and trade. Since the merger five years ago, NCBA Eldoret has supported over 8,200 customers, maintaining 5% annual growth and disbursing an average of KES 300 million in business loans annually.
Through strategic partnerships such as with the Africa Guarantee Fund, the bank has unlocked KES 17 billion in financing for SMEs. In addition, NCBA’s property finance offering supports contractors and developers with flexible solutions for commercial and residential projects.
As NCBA continues its regional activations across Kenya, the bank reaffirms its commitment to driving SME growth through convenience, innovation, and sector-aligned banking.
