Jumia Kenya is placing vendors and brand partners at the centre of its next growth phase as the e-commerce firm prepares to mark its 14th anniversary in Kenya.
The company on Wednesday hosted vendors, brand partners and senior executives at Best Western Hotel in Nairobi ahead of the 2026 Jumia Anniversary sales campaign, expected to run in June. The forum, sponsored by Xiaomi, focused on helping sellers prepare early through better stock planning, competitive pricing, stronger promotions and faster fulfilment.
Jumia Kenya Managing Director Vinod Goel said the anniversary has grown beyond a discount season into an important business moment for merchants, especially small and medium-sized enterprises looking to reach customers outside their immediate locations.

“Much like Black Friday, the Jumia Anniversary has evolved beyond a sales moment into a growth platform for thousands of businesses. Our focus is on investing in marketing, logistics and seller tools that enable vendors to capture demand at scale and build sustainable growth,” said Goel.
The company said it is improving delivery speed, order reliability and sponsored product solutions to help vendors compete more effectively during high-demand campaigns.
Steven Mbuthia, a Nairobi-based electronics vendor on the platform, said Jumia has helped his business move beyond location-based selling.
“Before selling on Jumia, our growth was limited by location and logistics. Today, we reach customers across the country and manage our inventory better,” he said.
Jumia Kenya Brand Partnerships Support
Xiaomi used the forum to showcase its growing range of smartphones and smart devices, highlighting the role of brand-platform partnerships in supporting sellers and consumers.
Xiaomi Managing Director Matt Huang said Jumia gives brands wider reach while helping vendors access better supply and marketing support.
“Jumia offers the reach, trust and infrastructure that allow brands like Xiaomi to support vendors with competitive pricing, reliable supply and strong marketing support,” said Huang.
As it enters its 14th year, Jumia Kenya says its marketplace strategy will continue to focus on local sellers, helping entrepreneurs grow income, manage inventory and scale without heavy investment in physical outlets.
