In a world where foldables often try too hard to dazzle, the OPPO Find N5 arrives with quiet confidence. It doesn’t shout for attention but once you use it, it’s hard to ignore. With refined hardware, seamless transitions, and power that rivals many laptops, OPPO’s latest foldable proves that sophistication and substance can go hand in hand.

First Impressions: Slim, Sleek, Surprisingly Capable
At first glance, the Find N5 feels like a well-kept secret. Folded, it’s just 8.9mm thick, nearly matching the svelte profile of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Unfolded, it melts into your hand at 4.21mm, transforming from a sleek pocket companion to a robust productivity device.
Whether you’re juggling coffee and emails at your local café or handling documents on the move, the titanium hinge opens effortlessly, revealing a workspace that’s as beautiful as it is practical.

Design & Display: Refined, Not Flashy
OPPO seems to understand how people truly interact with foldables. The 239g chassis hits the sweet spot between premium heft and all-day comfort. The matte finish resists fingerprints well though the included protective case slightly hides the sleek rear design, it thankfully adds minimal bulk.
The hinge is one of the best in the game, producing a nearly crease-free, flat display when unfolded. So seamless, in fact, that I found myself flipping it over repeatedly, unsure which side folded.
The 6.62-inch cover screen is ideal for one-handed use checking messages, scanning QR codes, or responding to emails in line. Open it up, and the 8.12-inch inner display shines. With 120Hz refresh rate, scrolling feels fluid, animations pop, and outdoor visibility is top-notch perfect for reviewing work documents in bright sunlight.
Performance: Productivity, Unfolded
OPPO doesn’t just offer hardware it backs it with smart software. Transitioning between folded and unfolded modes is seamless. Multitasking is a breeze, with support for three side-by-side apps plus a floating window.
This is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and 16GB of RAM, making it faster than many laptops. Everyday tasks run without a hitch, and even intense gaming sessions only generate mild warmth not bad for a device this slim.
Cameras: Capable, Not Class-Leading
The triple camera system won’t replace a DSLR or dethrone camera kings like the Pixel or Galaxy Ultra, but it handles everyday moments with ease. The 50MP main sensor delivers sharp, vivid shots, and the 2x telephoto lens comes in handy when reading distant text or capturing subtle details.
Low-light performance is decent, though it lags behind Google’s computational photography. That said, rear-camera selfies a major win on foldables are effortless thanks to the cover screen viewfinder. You can trigger the shutter with palm gestures or on-screen controls for hands-free group photos.
Battery & Charging: Leading the Pack
With a 5,600mAh dual-cell battery, the Find N5 cruises through full workdays with power left over for evening entertainment. Even better, 80W wired charging takes you from 0 to 100% in just 35 minutes, and 50W wireless charging outpaces most rivals’ wired solutions.
Perspective check: Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra maxes out at 45W wired. OPPO’s wireless is faster and yes, the charger is included in the box.
Quirks: A Few Rough Edges
Not everything is perfect. The phone ships with some pre-installed apps that you’ll likely uninstall on day one. Button placements particularly the volume rocker, mute switch, and fingerprint scanner—sit slightly higher than usual, making them less ergonomic, especially when folded.
The fingerprint scanner is quick and accurate, doubling as the power button, but I found myself relying more on face unlock for convenience.
In half-folded “laptop mode,” apps like YouTube and VLC are brilliantly optimized video up top, controls below. Unfortunately, this isn’t consistent across all apps. A future software update could unlock this feature across the board, turning the Find N5 into a true mini workstation.

Buy it if:

- You want a foldable that feels like a natural part of your workflow.
Skip it if:
- You’re a photography enthusiast chasing DSLR-level shots.

- Budget is a concern and mobile productivity isn’t your priority.
Final Verdict: A Foldable That Finally Makes Sense
The OPPO Find N5 shows that foldables are no longer just futuristic novelties, they’re genuinely useful tools. It combines elegant hardware with practical features, delivering a seamless mobile experience that enhances productivity without the gimmicks.
While the camera system doesn’t lead the class, it’s more than adequate for everyday use. In nearly every other area, performance, design, usability, and charging, OPPO hits the mark.
