Moringa School today held its annual Career Fair and Graduation Ceremony at the Dome ASK, Jamhuri Showground, Nairobi. Themed “TechXpo: Unlocking Opportunities in Modern Tech.” The event showed Moringa’s commitment to building talent and creating opportunities through transformative, tech-based learning experiences.
The TechXpo brought together over 50 employer partners, industry leaders, students, and graduates for a full-day showcase of innovation, opportunity, and talent. Attendees engaged in career booths, fireside chats, workshops, and corporate masterclasses, exploring pathways in emerging tech fields such as AI, blockchain, cybersecurity, cloud computing, gaming, and machine learning.
A special Hackathon involving ten high schools introduced students to tech through beginner-friendly coding workshops and interactive career talks. Parents were also engaged in sessions on tech career pathways, scholarships, and the future of work.
Top honors at the Hackathon included:
Best Team: Light Academy Nairobi, Karima Girls, and Rusinga School Nairobi
Most Innovative Project: Karima Girls High School
Best Technical Implementation: Light Academy Nairobi
Best Problem Solver: State House Girls High School
Moringa also celebrated the graduation of 1,478 students from its programs in Software Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Data Analysis & Visualization, and Product Design. With a graduate employment rate of 85% within 12 months, Moringa continues to deliver job-ready talent to the tech industry. Over the past decade, the school has trained more than 8,000 learners.
