Travel Agency Software Unites Kenyan Tour Operators

A travel agent’s day often runs across spreadsheets, chat apps, booking sites and payment tools. Switching between all of them takes time that agents could otherwise spend serving their travellers well. Kenyan company Triply, founded in 2021, has built one platform to bring that daily work together. It now offers travel agency software to more than 500 travel businesses in six African markets.

What Travel Agency Software Can Do

The platform handles quotes, AI-powered itinerary builders, flight and hotel bookings, customer records and supplier payments. Agents can collect payments, use wallets and see how the business is running from one screen. Travel agency software like this also helps with money, which often moves across borders and several systems. Triply partnered with Choice Microfinance Bank in May 2026 to support collections, payment visibility, reconciliation and supplier transactions.

Real Results for Small Operators

Virtue Explorers used to track a high volume of daily enquiries across spreadsheets, which made follow-ups hard. After moving to Triply, the company cut lead drop-off by 40 percent and reduced international payment costs by over 50 percent with virtual cards. Tulivu Holidays faced a chargeback risk involving US$8,000, and Triply’s payment security tools helped protect those funds. Stories like these show how travel agency software can protect revenue as well as save time.

Training matters too, so Triply worked with the Kenya Association of Travel Agents in August 2026 to train Coast agents on the platform. Triply CEO Peter Wachira said, “We see a major opportunity to help African travel companies operate with greater confidence, efficiency and room to grow.” The company says better tools give owners a clearer view of their businesses and less effort spent on managing many systems. With simple tools, travel agency software could help more small operators grow in the years ahead.
