VFS Global, the leading outsourcing and technology services provider for governments and diplomatic missions, has surpassed 300 million visa applications processed globally. The most recent 100 million applications were achieved in the last five years, despite pandemic-related challenges from 2020 to 2022. In 2023 alone, VFS Global processed 24.1 million applications, a 35% increase from 2022, and between January and May 2024, it handled approximately 100,000 applications daily.
CEO Zubin Karkaria expressed gratitude for the trust of 70 governments and the applicants using their services. He highlighted the company’s continued focus on technology and human capital investment to enhance its offerings. In 2023, VFS Global secured several major contracts, including exclusive partnerships with UK Visas and DHA Australia, as well as contract renewals with Germany, Finland, Portugal, and Japan.
Since its founding in 2001, VFS Global has pioneered outsourced visa services and innovative solutions, such as eVisa platforms for 12 governments and biometric capabilities. It has processed over 144 million biometric enrollments since 2007 and introduced advanced biometric kits like the Multi-Mission Model (MMM). The company is now leveraging GenAI technology to enhance customer experiences, establishing AI hubs in Mumbai and Dubai, with another planned in Berlin.
