Sophos has named Fayez Eweidat as its new Vice President of Sales for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa. He will work from Dubai and lead the company’s regional sales strategy for enterprise and mid-market customers. His appointment gives customers and partners across the region a dedicated Sophos Africa sales leader to work with. The goal is simple: help organisations stay safe and recover quickly when attacks do happen.
What The Sophos Africa Sales Leader Will Do
Eweidat will focus on three priorities in this role, starting with customer resilience against disruptive attacks. He will also grow Sophos’ enterprise business and strengthen its network of partners and managed service providers. The Sophos Africa sales leader will work closely with regional sales, channel and technical teams, and he reports to Andy Travers, SVP Sales, EMEA. Customers want trusted partners that simplify security operations and coordinate defences across endpoint, firewall, email, identity and cloud.

A Career Built on Partnerships
Eweidat joins from Juniper Networks, now part of HPE, where he spent eight years leading regional sales. His most recent role there was head of enterprise for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa. Earlier, he held regional sales leadership roles at Brocade, Cisco and Apple, serving enterprise and public sector customers. That background in leading teams and building partner networks gives the Sophos Africa sales leader a strong base for the job.
Resilience is a pressing topic across the region, and the recent numbers show exactly why. In the UAE, organisations hit by ransomware reported an average recovery cost of US$665,000, according to the Sophos 2026 State of Ransomware report. Travers said, “Organizations across META need security outcomes they can trust, delivered at the scale their operations demand.” Eweidat said he looks forward to helping “more organizations achieve stronger, more resilient security outcomes.” Those words set the tone for what the Sophos Africa sales leader hopes to deliver.
